Mental Health
Mental Health is a growing issue across all of society. Boys in particular 'keep things in' and therefore it is all our responsibility to be vigilant and not to ignore signs or words being used around us.
It is also important for our students to know who they can go to if and when they need to talk. Here at the Academy, we have a dedicated mental health team who have undergone mental health training.
Mental health can take many forms and can range from slight anxiety, which is time limited due to factors in a student's life at that time, such as exams, to suicidal thoughts. Our PSHE programme covers topics dealing with aspects of mental health and we support charities such as YoungMinds as part of our fundraising activities.
If you wish to talk, you can find one of the mental health team pictured below, or click on one of the links to visit an external website.
