Head of School Welcome
I took up post in September 2016 and have since seen many positive changes. Arriving at De La Salle for me, felt like ‘coming home’ as I too was educated at a De La Salle school. The feeling of belonging and being part of a family is a special part of our school and one which I am proud of. The family includes all those in our community and is one which means our boys settle in quickly and feel safe to be here.
The school today is very different from the school I walked into a year ago, the positive vibe and buzz from the boys and staff is taking effect and changing the learning experiences we offer here at the academy. Changes will continue as we strive to push every boy to be the best that they can be and have the same life choices as any other young person in the country.
I look forward to the challenge of moving the academy forward further and working with all those in the community as we work together with a shared goal.
As stated before, at The De La Salle Academy we believe in partnership with parents. We can best fulfil the potential of your son by working with you and we pledge to keep you regularly informed of developments in the school that affect your son. We want parents to feel that they are part of the school community, to feel that they are able to discuss with us any concerns that they have and to celebrate our successes with us. We now hold a Parent’s Forum every term, where we invite in parents to share any feedback as well as it being an opportunity to hear about developments.
On this website, you will find some of the exciting opportunities which we offer to our students and we hope that you will consider that The De La Salle Academy is the right school for your son. If you would like to see the academy for yourself, please contact us to make an appointment. We would be delighted to show you around.
We look forward to meeting with you and sharing the life of The De La Salle Academy in the future.
