All students at The De La Salle Academy will be entered for a range of public examinations. Some subjects, such as English, Maths and Science, will be compulsory for all students, as they are essential requirements for employment or higher education. Other subjects may be chosen as options, according to each individual's skills and preferences. In order to prepare students fully for public examinations, practice papers in the form of mock examinations will be organised.
Educational institutions are measured by their students' success rate in public examinations, and The De La Salle Academy takes seriously its duty to provide students with the best possible opportunity for success.
JCQ Regulations - National
In conjunction with the Academy, students and parents have a responsibility to ensure they are aware of the guidance, rules & regulations governing examinations. Students must, at all times, be aware that failure to familiarise themselves and adhere to these regulations could lead to disqualification from the examination and the overall qualification. These regulations and the academies expectations regarding student conduct during exams will be reiterated at the assemblies held in the academy for Years 10 and above.
