Community & Alumni

Welcome everyone!

As Community Engagement Manager, I am delighted to share with you some of the exciting projects we are involved with, in terms of 'COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT' and 'THE DE LA SALLE ALUMNI'.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Our amazing students are constantly given opportunities to understand their individual responsibility to both their immediate and wider communities. As part of our commitment to British Values and our Lasallian ethos, we have ‘The De La Salle Academy Community Champions’, ‘The De La Salle Academy Community Choir’ and ‘The De La Salle Academy Ukulele Band’ participating in projects out in the community.

We encourage members of our community to get to know the wonderful work of our students. In turn, both individuals and community groups may offer their own contribution to academy life. You may enjoy our community facilities; watching a film, playing bingo, reading/discussing books and having both formal and informal meetings. There are also opportunities to hire some of our fantastic spaces such as the sports hall, swimming pool, weights room and exercise studio.

As friends of The De La Salle Academy, local community groups and individuals can benefit from involvement with us as their school in the heart of their community.

You will find the work here which has been undertaken by 'The De La Salle Community Champions', 'The De La Salle Academy Community Choir' and 'The De La Salle Ukulele Band'.

ALUMNI

You will see that there are opportunities to join and link up with 'THE DE LA SALLE ALUMNI'. Would you believe that some of the members of our Alumni reach as far back as the 1960s and are living in different countries! This depth and spread of ex-pupils, clearly demonstrates both the rich history of our school and the wider Lasallian family extending across the world.

The motto 'SEMPER FIDELIS / ALWAYS FAITHFUL' has been truly embedded in the hearts of all our students and teachers across the years and is still proclaimed now at the start of every school day.
