Visitor Economy Week Day 3
A first class and inspirational presentation from Ellis Barrie, finalist in BBC2's "Great British Menu". Ellis captivated the attention of our Year 9 students with an honest and frank commentary about his journey into culinary excellence. Ellis is already a chef/owner of the Marram Grass restaurant in Anglesey, where he prides himself on the use of local produce and sustainable farming methods.
Year 9 students were very excited to hear that Ellis is about to open a new restaurant in the Royal Albert Dock. The whole ethos of his work ties in so well with the Academy's future endeavour to create a Hospitality and Catering centre with accommodation beside the school.
